Past, Present, Future.
01 — Where we come from.
Founded in 1913 on Presa Street in San Antonio, St. Paul Lutheran Church initially began as a small congregation and school. Over time, it evolved, replacing its original wooden sanctuary with a red brick building in 1925, expanding in 1948, and adding stained glass windows. The church continued to grow, establishing a school in 1929, and further expanding its facilities in 1962.
02 — Where we are.
Here's the deal, St. Paul cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. Our church is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom. Through worship, evangelism, and service of the poor, we want to proclaim the love of Christ to our neighborhood.
03 — Where we are heading.
What's the bottom line? More than ever, the vision of our parish for the years to come is liturgically inclined & mission-oriented. With an emphasis on the beauty and enchantment of the liturgy during Sunday mornings and kingdom-minded evangelism throughout the week, we want to be faithful to our Lord.
04 — What this means for you!
What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at St. Paul. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith, you'll always be welcome as part of the family as we all walk together in obedience to Christ.
We proudly embrace our sacramental theology with a fervent passion for missions as part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod!
